Habitat:

Tropical forest floor, near streams and water sources. They enjoy digging burrows. Young individuals sometimes hide in pitcher plants.

Reproduction:

The female carries the eggs, from which fully developed crabs hatch. The female carries the crabs on her body during the first days. This is a unique behavior within the genus Geosesarma.
