Reproduction:

Females carry eggs, from which fully developed crabs hatch. The female carries the crabs on her back for the first few days. This behavior is unique in the Geosesarma family.

Notes:

Due to similarities and proximity to related species, and the occasional misidentification of this species as Geosesarma pontianak, it is difficult to distinguish it from closely related species such as Geosesarma ambawang and Geosesarma pontianak. It is likely mixed in trade with these species.
